This article is devoted to the study of the semantic classification of ecotourism terms in Chinese and Uzbek languages and their comparative features. The purpose of the study is to classify ecotourism terms in both languages into semantic groups, identify their semantic characteristics, and reveal the common and differential features of the terminological systems through comparative analysis. A corpus of 174 basic terms related to ecotourism was selected as the research material. Comparative, semantic classification, component analysis, descriptive, and statistical methods were applied in the study. The analysis showed that ecotourism terms can be classified into several major semantic groups, including natural resources and natural objects, ecological sustainability, socio-cultural resources, and terms related to ecological systems and environmental protection. The findings indicate that although ecotourism terminology in both languages shares a common conceptual field, differences exist in semantic grouping, terminological composition, and usage patterns. Chinese terminology demonstrates a higher degree of semantic differentiation and more active use of complex terminological models, whereas Uzbek terminology reflects a combination of national and borrowed lexical units. The results contribute to the systematization of ecotourism terminology and provide material for further comparative terminological studies.
