This article analyzes the role and significance of modern software tools – Praat, WaveSurfer, ELAN, and other instruments – in scientific research in experimental phonetics. The possibilities of digital technologies in studying sound waves, measuring formants, intonation, and prosodic characteristics are demonstrated. The aim of the research is to define the scientific foundations of integrating experimental phonetics methods with software in Uzbek linguistics and to determine the effectiveness of their application. Comparative-analytical, experimental, and statistical methods were employed in the study. As a result, it was established that modern software enables the analysis of speech sounds with a high degree of accuracy and opens new perspectives in studying the phonetic system of the Uzbek language. The capabilities of Praat software in researching Uzbek vowels are highlighted. In conclusion, modern software has become an integral part of experimental phonetics, fundamentally improving the quality and accuracy of linguistic research.
