ARTISTIC ISSUES IN BHAKTI LITERATURE

This term refers to a rich and voluminous literary heritage that arose due to the influence of the Bhakti religious-reform movement on literature, a movement widespread among the people at the time and formed in the interests of the people. Braj and Awadhi, languages that became literary thanks to the Bhakti movement, are examined, and the special role and contribution of Bhakti poets, who became leading creative voices of their time, are evaluated. The article also discusses language and style in artistic works, widespread poetic and prose genres of that time, their unique features, as well as the categories of poetry used in Bhakti poetry, in particular rasa, alankar, and dhvani, illustrated by the works of Bhakti poets. The opinions of well-known literary scholars who have studied the works of Bhakti poets and their creations are presented.
