COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF UTKIR HOSHIMOVʼS “THE AFFAIRS OF THE WORLD” AND AHMAD LUTFI KAZANCHIʼS “THE MOTHER-IN-LAW”

This article presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of the Uzbek writer Utkir Hoshimovʼs collection of stories “The Affairs of the World” and the Turkish writer Ahmad Lutfi Kazanchiʼs novel “The Mother-in-Law” using the comparative-typological method. The primary aim of the study is to examine the female image, particularly the figures of mother and mother -in-law, from national -spiritual and socio-psychological perspectives within a comparativist framework. The creative laboratories, artistic styles, plot structures, and character systems of both authors are thoroughly analyzed and compared. The article also addresses the historica l and cultural commonalities of Turkish and Uzbek literatures, the central role of family in the worldview of Turkic peoples, and the artistic interpretation of religious and moral values. The findings confirm that in both works, the images of mother and m other-in-law embody national spiritual values, revealing profound thematic proximity between Uzbek and Turkish literary traditions in the artistic portrayal of family and social relations.
