This article presents a comparative analysis of the concept of the individual, the travelogue genre (sayokhatnoma), and the socio - artistic factors that give rise to the spirit of liberty in Western and Eastern Romanticism. The research highlights the unique poetic interpretation of travel motifs in the works of J. Byron, H. Heine, as well as Muqimi and Chulpon. Through the travelogue genre, the authors artistically explore the inner world of the lyrical hero, their longing for boundless freedom, and the challenges of a holistic perception of social life. The rebellious nature and psychological state of the Romantic hero manifest directly within the context of the relationship between man and the world, and the harmony of space and time. The article demonstrates that the expression of freedom -loving ideas is based on the depiction of objective conditions, such as social misunderstanding, exile, and the pursuit of national liberation. These factors form a specific tragic landscape within the Romantic work, imbuing the narrative with dramatism and authenticity. Consequently, the study substantiates the intensification of lyrical pathos in the writersʼ creative work and the role of artistic space in revealing the lyrical heroʻs worldview. The article serves to identify typological similarities and poetic patterns between Western and Eastern Romanticism.
