This article comparatively examines the semantic components of diminutive meaning in English, Spanish, and Uzbek languages using the method of component analysis. The primary aim of the research is to determine how the diminutive seme is expressed in the semantic structure of lexical units and to analyze the characteristics of its explicit and implicit manifestations based on materials from the three languages. For the research process, definitions from explanatory dictionaries and electronic lexicographic sources were selected as the main material. Within the framework of component analysis, archisemes, integral semes, and labels (indicator units) were identified, and instances of explicit (small, little, pequeño, kichik , etc.) and implicit expression of the diminutive seme through a multi- level chain were determined. The results of the analysis revealed that in English, the diminutive seme is more frequently expressed through explicit lexical markers, while in Uzbek and Spanish, it is often expressed implicitly. It has been established that diminutive forms formed through affixation play a significant role in both Uzbek and Spanish. The statistical data presented in the article reveal the language-specific and shared feat ures of the functional -semantic field of diminutiveness in the languages under comparison. The findings of the study are of both theoretical and practical relevance for semantic analysis, comparative linguistics, and lexicography.
